Flame in Acrylic Painting

ROMANDA LIU

Born and raised in Beijing, China. Now, London based painter known for her acrylic works on rice paper and acrylic paintings on canvas. Her works are inspired by the spontaneity and mood that music can bring to people but create a unique pattern. She creates a sense of depth through variety of textures that vary between smooth and flowing and staccato and rhythmic. The intent is to make resonance and encourage viewers generate strong feelings.

Airbrush and acrylic paintings on canvas contrast soft and flowy colour abstraction with a moulding touch. Unlike many other abstract painters, her works are using emotions to describe every object.  These works explore the subconscious, but are inspired by contemporary aesthetics - especially music, from Classic to heavy metal. Her paintings are intimated:  peace in coulure but complicated in emotions.
